A
AIM Note for Mining, Oil & Gas Companies
The London Stock Exchange's disclosure guidance for AIM-listed companies with mineral or petroleum assets. Requires a Competent Person's Report (CPR) at admission and for material transactions.
Assessment Preview
A fast, lower-cost first read of a tenement against the Azura Engine™'s 13 territorial risk layers — used to gauge whether a full Territorial Feasibility Diagnosis is warranted before committing budget.
C
Competent Person (CP)
The individual who takes professional responsibility for a Public Report under the JORC Code, PERC or the AIM Note — typically a member of a recognised professional body with at least five years' relevant experience.
CRIRSCO Template
The international framework that NI 43-101, JORC, S-K 1300 and PERC all derive from — it standardises Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserve categories across jurisdictions, even though disclosure requirements around it still differ.
D
Due Diligence (Territorial)
The process of verifying that a mineral asset's land tenure, permits, and territorial constraints are what they're claimed to be — before capital, drilling, or disclosure commitments are made.
E
Exploration Target
A conceptual estimate of potential mineral tonnage and grade, stated with a clear disclaimer that it is not a Mineral Resource — the earliest stage at which a company can quantify prospectivity in public disclosure.
G
GGMC — Guyana Geology and Mines Commission
Guyana's regulator for mineral tenure, licensing and cadastral records under the Mining Act 1989 — the authority Azura Engine™ readings reconcile against for any Guyanese tenement.
GMD — Geologische Mijnbouwkundige Dienst
Suriname's mining authority, governing concession status (Reconnaissance, Exploration, Exploitation) under the Mijnbouwdecreet E-58 — the base record for any Surinamese tenement read by Azura.
I
Impeditive Constraint
The most severe classification in the Azura Engine™'s risk scale — a single Impeditive layer caps the entire Territorial Readiness Score, regardless of how strong the other 12 layers read.
J
JORC Code
The Australasian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves — governs public reporting for ASX-listed mining companies and is administered by the JORC Committee (AusIMM / AIG / MCA).
M
Mineral Reserve
The economically mineable part of a Measured or Indicated Mineral Resource, after applying modifying factors — the category investors and lenders weight most heavily, since it implies extraction is currently viable.
Mineral Resource
A concentration of material of economic interest, classified as Inferred, Indicated or Measured depending on geological confidence — the tier below Mineral Reserve in every CRIRSCO-based standard.
N
NI 43-101
National Instrument 43-101, the Canadian Securities Administrators' standard for disclosure of mineral projects — required for companies listed on the TSX and TSXV, signed off by a Qualified Person.
P
PERC — Pan-European Reserves & Resources Reporting Committee
The reporting standard used across pan-European exchanges, aligned to the CRIRSCO template — requires sign-off from a Competent Person, similarly to JORC and the AIM Note.
Permitting Status
The current standing of every environmental, land-use and operating permit a tenement needs — one of the most common sources of an Impeditive or Restrictive reading in a territorial diagnosis.
Q
Qualified Person (QP)
The individual who takes professional responsibility for a Technical Report under NI 43-101 or S-K 1300 — a registered member of a recognised professional association with relevant experience in the commodity and deposit type.
S
S-K 1300
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's mining disclosure rule, effective 2021 — requires a Technical Report Summary signed off by a Qualified Person for companies listed on the NYSE or NASDAQ.
T
Tenement
The legal right to explore or mine a defined area of land — the foundational unit every territorial risk layer in the Azura Engine™ is read against.
Territorial Feasibility Diagnosis (TFD)
Imageo's full-depth territorial risk report — all 13 Azura Engine™ layers read, scored and documented against the standard your investors expect, ready to hand to a QP or CP.
Territorial Readiness Score
The single 0–100 output of the Azura Engine™, combining boolean veto constraints with AHP-weighted continuous factors across all 13 territorial layers — see the full band-by-band breakdown on the Azura Engine™ page.
